Who: Lydia and Allison When: Friday night Where: Lydia’s place What: Sleepover Why: Best-friends reunited Status: Complete Ratings: None
Once Lydia was done with Mitch, she had gone home and set everything up for the sleepover with Allison. Lydia was nervous, since the last time she saw Allison, it wasn’t fun. So to have her here was the second chance Lydia didn’t realize she needed in her life. Her best-friend was alive, and here. Despite it being three years difference, Lydia wasn’t going to let that get in the way of her and Allison reconnecting.
She knew Everdale was a long way from Summerbridge, but it was the place Lydia needed to be herself and get away. She had come to text Allison telling her to let herself in since Lydia owned a house in her new home. Her heart was beating rapidly since she was nervous. She wasn’t sure how she would react when she saw Allison in person.

Allison was still thinking over everything she’d been told when it finally came time to leave for Lydia’s. She just barely remembered to throw a change of clothes and some toiletries into a book bag before she left her dorm room, but she did and headed out. When she finally got to Everdale and found Lydia’s home, she was charmed by the surroundings, but it seemed almost to pastoral for her taste. For now, though, she would just enjoy time with her friend, and after double checking, she was at the right address, Allison opened the front door of the house she stood outside and stepped in.
“Hello? Lydia?” She shut the door behind her as she glanced around, looking for her friend.
*** Once Lydia heard Allison’s voice she had to remind herself to breathe. But once she actually came to look Allison, the only thing she could do was run and embrace her best friend in a tight hug. And it wasn’t long after that, that Lydia found herself crying against Allison’s cheek. She missed her best friend so much and to have here again it meant the world to Lydia.
Forcing herself to pull away from Allison as she cleaned her face for the moment. “You’ve no idea how much I’ve missed you.” She said as she came to clean her face once more.
*** Between the hug and the tears, Allison was near tears herself, closing her eyes as she held onto her friend. Lydia was the first friend beside Scott she’d made in Beacon Hills, and she was happy to see her again since honestly, she hadn’t thought she ever would. When the hug was broken, she absently pressed one hand against her shirt over her wound was, even as she grinned at Lydia.
“I think I can guess,” she replied with a laugh, then wiped her own eyes quickly. “This is all so weird - but great, at the same time. I had no idea you guys were here.”
*** She came to move with Allison to sit on the couch. “Yeah, when I got here I wasn’t all that great. The voices were getting to be too much. Until I came here and screamed. I feel a lot better now.” She said with a nod. “Derek lives somewhere around here too.” She said as she brushed her red hair from her face.
“So, what do you want to know?” She asked as she moved from the couch and to the kitchen. Once back she had two bottles of water and handed one to Allison, while she opened the bottle and took a refreshing sip.
*** Allison blew out a long breath as the question but waited until Lydia returned. Taking the bottle with a smile, she held it in her lap for the moment as she shifted so she was facing her friend. “Honestly I’m not even sure where to start. You already answered some of my questions about what happened right after I...well. But I guess you need to start filling me in on afterward. And some of the more immediate things like - Deucalion? Since when does he offer up help and protection?”
*** “Oh.” She replied as she came to nod lightly. “”Him and Scott became allies. He’s helped us a few times when we were in a bad situation.” She replied with a nod of her head as she came to watch her closely for the moment.
“A lot’s changed.” She said with a nod of her head as she came to “Not all of us stayed in Beacon Hills either. Isaac left with your dad, but I’m sure he told you that already.” She said with another nod of her head given as she came to smile at Allison.
“This place is a second chance for a lot of us. I mean hell, Stiles and Cora are dating and living in a house from what I saw.” She replied shaking her head laughing. “But we’re all still the same in the end.”
*** “So he’s on our side now?” She frowned, not really sure how she felt about that after everything that had happened, but she did trust Scott.
“Right - they went to France? He’s never taken someone who wasn’t a member of the family before...I’m really glad they were close to everything.” It meant that neither her dad nor Isaac were alone, right? They both had someone. That was important - since she hadn’t been there.
Finally lifting the bottle, she opened it slowly and took a long drink, then lowered it. “How do you feel about Stiles and Cora dating? Are you dating anyone right now?”
*** “When I got here I was a mess because a lot happened back home. I and Stiles got close, he’s my best friend.” She replied with a nod of her head. That smile coming over her features. “I know he and Malia were together but I don’t know what happened and now he’s with Cora.” She replied with a shrug. “He seems happy so I’m happy.”
She said as she shook her head at Allison. “No, I’m not dating anyone right now. But if I do I’ll let you know first.” She replied with a slight nudge in Allison’s direction.” Are you and Isaac going to try again?”
***
“Is Malia happy, too?” Because if Stiles and Cora were together now, that might mean that their other friend was on the outside, and she wanted to make sure everyone was okay with all of this. “I’m glad Stiles is happy - and that you are, too.”
Blinking in surprise when Lydia admitted to being single, she took another sip of her bottle, then lowered it slowly. “I...think so. He wants to, I’m pretty sure. I think we are.” At least her deathbed confession wouldn’t be an issue, right? “It’s weird though since from my perspective, we never actually ended anything.”
*** Lydia came to think for the moment. Only to exhale lightly. “Last time I saw her she seemed okay. I haven’t really seen much of anyone from back home, we all seem to be doing our own things since getting here.” She said with a nod of her head and a smile on her lips.
“Well, I’m happy for you. Both of you.” She added as she came to sip her water. “Yeah believe it or not after everything with Aiden I hadn’t dated anyone.” except what happened home but that had nothing to do with here and now. “Ravenmoore has a carnival, you and Isaac should go there for your first date.”
*** “It’s weird that everyone’s so...separated, now. We were all together so much in Beacon Hills, half the time it seemed like we were more like a family instead of friends.” Or a pack. Scott’s pack.
Giving a slow nod, Allison studied her friend. “I think your bonfire tomorrow night will be our first date, actually,” she said with a grin. “But we can go to the carnival Sunday maybe if he’s free. How about we make it a group thing, and we all go?”
*** Lydia smiled at Allison for the moment. “We’re all still close. Just a lot’s happened. “ Lydia didn’t want to say much to Allison about everything that had happened back home. Mainly because Lydia didn’t want to have those headaches again. She had been doing pretty good without them.
“I like that idea. Saturday we can do the bonfire and Sunday we’ll do like a pack thing for the carnival.” She said with a firm nod of her head. Hopefully, everyone would show up since it had been a while since the pack was together again. But that again, without Scott, the pack seemed somewhat lost.
*** “I’m getting that,” Allison replied, and while she wanted to push for information, she was picking up on Lydia’s hints about how she’d been when she had shown up originally, and the way she kept dodging the questions. Allison hated being left in the dark but decided she’d find out from someone else, instead. It wasn’t fair to keep trying to push her friend.
“Sounds like a great plan, then.” Allison smiled and sat back against the arm of the couch, sipping her water. “So what’s on the agenda for tonight?”
*** “Tonight, we binge watch movies and eat ice cream. Talk about boys?” Lydia said snickering as she came to smile brightly towards Allison for the moment. She did wonder though, if Allison showed up, who else from the pack would show up? Would Scott appear? Or Kira?
In a way, Lydia was hoping. Because the more of them came the more at home she felt and the less that buzzing sound was in her head.
*** Allison smiled again. “Movies and ice cream sound great. I think boy talk can wait till later.” Kicking off her shoes, she shifted so she sat cross-legged and nodded towards the television set. “Let’s go ahead and get this party started.”
