Mulder nodded. "Quite true. And of course, if they have the ability to do that, what else are they capable of that we don't know?" A question that he'd often thought, though seldom voiced. "No PowerPoint? I'd at least demand croissants and lattes." A small inclination of the head, a tactic he'd employed many times himself, going to the hot spot, as it were. The only problem was here, everything and nothing was a hot spot.
"Oh, that wasn't going to happen. Someone trying to prove the Government is covering up the truth about alien abductions isn't going to be put in a position where they actually could do that. I settled for taking each small victory in proving the existence of paranormal phenomenon."
"And what of the others?" he asked, curiously. "Pretty certain that the caped, armored flying thing back during the bombing isn't a supernatural or magic community." Of course there hadn't been an appearance of... he was pretty certain it was a her... since, so it could possibly be that she was one of the ones that had mysteriously vanished. Or someone that was keeping a low profile for some reason.
