Who: Cora and Peter When: Saturday night (Fast Forward) Where: Peters place Why: Cora is embarrassed What: Spending the night Status: Complete Ratings: None
She said the ‘L’ word. It literally came out and through a messaging system at that. So, she did the only rational thing. She locked herself in her room. But when Stiles started living up the whole ‘I love you’ Cora felt a little embarrassed. Mainly because she’d never said those words to anyone outside the family. So, she did the only thing she could think of. Go to Peter’s for the night. She did hope it wouldn’t make Stiles feel bad, but she just didn’t know how to handle these feelings/emotions correctly. Not to mention the whole thing with her father being here that she still hasn’t told Stiles. But she knows tonight for dinner she will tell him.
The drive wasn’t so bad, as she came up to Peter’s place. The knock on his door given. Her short brunette hair would cup her jawline like usual. What was usual were the clothes Cora was wearing. Which consisted of a blue flannel shirt that belonged to Stiles, a pair of his jeans. Under those jeans would be a pair of his boxers. Cora was literally wearing Stiles clothes, minus the socks and shoes. Not to mention having his pillow held against her.
A deep exhale escaped her lips as she came to wait for Peter to open the door. Aside from the whole ‘I love you’ thing, Cora wanted to talk to Peter about her dad. Since it seemed they had a relationship that she never got the chance to have with the man.

Tonight was a night full of surprises for Peter. First Cora reached out to them and they actually had a semi-normal conversation and now she was all of a sudden coming over to his place. She said why, but he didn't ask for details. He would just do that when she actually showed up.
He got up when the knock came and he answered the door. "I wasn't sure if you were going to actually show up." But there Cora stood. He gave her the once over and the first thing he noticed was her clothing choice. She looked like Stiles. And in her hand, she had a pillow. She really did mean it when she said she was coming over for the night. He opened the door wider and motioned for her to come on in and once she was in he shut the door.
"So, why did you want to punch Stiles?" There was no point in wasting time. He wanted to know. He also wanted to know something else. "And why are you wearing his clothes?"
*** Once that door was open, she would come to step inside. She was well aware how she looked at the moment but didn’t really care. “Because he’s an idiot.” Is all she cared to say, already tossing her keys and wallet on the table before looking around and soon to Peter. “So… Thanks for letting me crash here.” She replied as she placed the pillow down on the couch. Aside from the clothes, Cora smelled of Stiles. All over for that matter.
Still, she came to take a seat and sigh deeply. “I wanted to talk about my dad.” She said as she brushed her hair from her face. “You seem to be close with him still.” She said looking at the slowly disappearing bruises on Peter’s face. For him to still be bruised told Cora her father hit him extremely hard.
She smiled at the thought but pushed it aside. “Also, got an extra room for me?”
***
Peter looked Cora's way with a questioning eyebrow. "If he's an idiot then why are you practically dressed like him?" He paused for a beat before adding, "And you smell like him." Far too much he wanted to add, but he didn't. She was smart, she'd understand what he was getting at.
He watched her for a moment before he took a seat. "You're welcome." Cora was family, of course, he'd let her stick around for however long she wanted.
And then that subject came up. Peter had a feeling it would be brought up and now it had been. "What do you want to know?" He could tell she was looking at the bruises that were still visible. He was still healing from the fight. That was the bad thing about going up against an Alpha, the wounds took much longer to heal.
"You mean to tell me that you don't want to sleep on the couch?" he asked, that typical smile of his appearing on his face. "I have an extra room that you can sleep in."
*** When he said the comment about her smelling and dressed like him, she did her best to control her heartbeat around him. Especially around Peter. She was after all the youngest Hale. But even Cora knew she was going to have to come clean to her family about her and Stiles...
“Where has he been?” It was the main question she wanted an answer too. When he joked about the couch she rolled her eyes at him. But soon the offering of the extra room made her nod slightly in his direction. “And we live together, it's normal I smell like Stiles. And I grabbed the first thing I could find.” She said making excuses on why she smelled and dressed like Stiles right now. If Peter knew that, the pillow was Stiles, she wouldn’t hear the end of it tonight.
*** Peter knew there was something going on. Her heartbeat was giving that way and the way she smelled. All he had to do was pry the information out of Cora, but she was holding back right now. He wasn't too worried, though, she was staying the night. He was pretty sure he would get something out of her before it was time to go to sleep.
"He was in Mexico, under a church, wrapped in wolfsbane, basically asleep this whole time," he started. He pretty much went on to share everything that he knew. Cora had asked and she needed to know anyway. That was her father. She deserved to have the information that he now had.
"It would be normal to sort of have his scent on you. You reek of him." He could put the puzzle together in his head. He wasn't stupid. Still, he'd rather have her say it.
***
Once she got the information about where her father was, she played with the information in her head for the moment. Her hand came to run through her hair for the moment. Taking a seat on the couch, as she brought that pillow against her chest. She didn’t even realize she was doing it at first. Which was taking in Stiles scent from the pillow and clothing.
But as Peter said she reeked of Stiles Cora shifted her eyes. Only to bring her face to bury into the pillow for the moment. Of course, she mumbled something into the pillow. Only to lift her head up and look to Peter, who was most likely staring at her. And soon a deep exhale was given along with an eye roll.
“We might have kissed a few times.”
*** Peter didn't say anything else. There was nothing else to say when it came to her father. Unless he asked, but it seemed like Cora didn't have anything to ask in that moment. Instead, it looked like she needed to process the information, which was fine. So, he pretty much just watched her as she grabbed the pillow and pretty much shoved her face into it.
He just leaned back and waited for her to looked up again.
"You might have kissed a few times?" he asked, eyebrow raised once again.
*** “Okay, so we have kissed a few times.” She replied as she came to look away from Peter for the moment. But the way he stared at her made her exhale deeply for the moment. Already regretting coming here. But she made her bed, now she had to sleep in it so to speak.
“We’ve kissed a lot of times since he moved in.” She added as she came to place the pillow on her frame and rest it on her side. She came to exhale for the moment as well as she brushed her hair from her face. One good thing about being a werewolf was those markings Stiles gave her daily always disappeared by morning.
One less thing to worry about with her family, since she really did think they would try to kill Stiles.
***
"So, you're together then?" The clothes, the way she smelled way too much like Stiles, it all made sense if they were together. Not like he actually cared. The only thing he was going to do was question her taste in guys. And maybe tease her a bit about it all.
He just kept on watching her. The way she held back, her moments, they were all just telltale signs that this was something she was trying to keep to herself. If she didn't want to talk about this she shouldn't have shown up in Stiles' clothes and reeking of him. "Are you holding back because you think I'll tell your dad?" He'd mention Derek as well, but they really haven't spoken since he had shown up in Preya. So, he left him out.
*** With the mention of her dad, Cora made a face at the realization. She hadn’t even thought about that. She knew she was going to have to warn Stiles about her dad being here now. So when Peter asked if she was holding back, she once again shifted her eyes away from him.
“...We’ve been sleeping together…” She said as she came to look at Peter for the moment. “And no, you can’t kill or maul him or anything like that.” She said firmly as she came to rest back on the couch for the moment.
“We also just paid for our own house so… No more apartment living.”
*** "I'm not going to do anything to him." Peter almost wanted to laugh. "If you like him and want to be with him, who am I to stop you?" Cora could be whoever she wanted.
He knew Cora had just acquired a new house since he saw it on the network, he just hadn't been sure that it was a Cora and Stiles thing. "When are you moving? Before or after you're done wanting to punch him" Yes, he was still going to bring that up. It was the reason why she was here. He still wanted to know why.
*** She came to make a face. “You do realize I’m not really punching him in the face right?” She said shaking her head at her uncle for the moment. “We're supposed to move in this coming week.” She added lightly as she came to yawn for the moment before looking at Peter once again.
“I only said I was going to punch him because… I told him I loved him.” She replied as she exhaled deeply for the moment. She wasn’t ashamed of it, it had just caught her off guard. The thought of her being in love with Stiles did cause her to blush lightly as she smiled and looked up to Peter.
“He makes me happy.”
*** Peter just shrugged his shoulders. “You could have been serious about wanting to do it.” It was Cora. She was a Hale. They all had that meanish streak and they usually meant what they said. “And then you freaked out and came here.” Now it made total and complete sense why Cora was desperate enough to come and hide out at his place.
“What is it with him and Hale women? First Malia and now you…Right, so, if he makes you happy and you told him that you loved him then why are you hiding out here?”
*** “Because I got em--” But Cora stopped her sentence for the moment. “Wait, what does Malia have to do with Hale women?” She asked for the moment. Cora didn’t know Malia, all she knew was that she and Stiles were dating when she came to Preya. Aside from that nothing else, since the two didn’t really seem to talk to each other. Which was fine with Cora.
But still, why would Uncle Peter bring up Malia and call her a Hale. “What’s the deal with this Malia girl anyways?” Cora asked as she came to exhale deeply as she came to sit Indian style on the couch, that pillow resting between her legs for the moment.
*** Peter had completely forgotten that Cora had no idea that Malia and herself were related. Then again he was surprised that no one else had clued her in. “Well,” he started, “that’s because she’s my daughter.”
He gave her a slightly odd look when she asked that question. “What do you mean? Has something been going on?”
*** And there was that face. “Someone actually reproduced with you?” Was all she could say for the most part since she was still trying to wrap her head around the concept of someone actually sleeping with him, but the idea alone made her shiver. But when he asked if something had happened, she just shook her head.
“No, just aside her and Stiles breaking up and him having to find a new place to live. I don’t really talk to the girl. Never felt a need too.” She replied with a light shrug of her shoulders. Unsure if she should reach out to the girl. But then again, she didn’t try to reach out to her so it wasn’t like it mattered so much to Cora.
“Yeah, Stiles and I are dating now so... No harming.” She replied as she came to stare at Peter for the most part.
*** “Yes, why is that so hard to believe?” Now that he asked the question, he kind of wished that he hadn’t. It was Cora, he knew her answer would be another sarcastic remark.
“I’m guessing that you still don’t feel a need to talk to her.” That was okay. He couldn’t force Cora to do anything. If she wanted to get to know Malia, she would in her own time.
*** “Because you’re psychotic.” Is all she said when he asked why was it hard to believe. So when his next question came about her feeling the need to talk to Malia, Cora just shrugged. “Maybe at some point, but don’t really see the need for it right now.” She said with another shrug of her shoulders.
“And I came over because I got embarrassed that I told Stiles, I love him. Especially since the relationship is still very fresh and new.” She said as she came to exhale once more and looked away from Peter. “Besides, you know our families luck with love. So, I’m scared. I’m allowed to be.”
*** “You know, I wasn’t always this way.” He wasn’t trying to say he was every some little angel either. “Fair enough.” He wasn’t going to push it. Cora would talk to Malia when Cora felt like talking to Malia. At least now she knew that they were related.
He couldn’t help but smile as Cora explained that she practically ran off because she got embarrassed. But the smile didn’t last. Because she had a point. It seemed like they were all cursed in one way or another. “We’re also not home anymore. Isn’t that the point of being here?”
*** When Peter said they weren’t home, it made her think for the moment. “Doesn’t mean I’m still not worried.” She said as she brushed her hair from her face for the moment. A deep sigh escaped her lips once more as she came to bury her face in Stiles pillow.
“Stop judging me.” Is all she said as she came to stare at Peter for the moment. “But... What are you thinking about… You know, everything?” She asked for the moment. With Derek wanting to be by himself, Cora didn’t really have anyone else to talk so, Peter was next in line since she wasn’t going to ask her dad.
***
“What are you worried about, exactly?” If she worried too much, he knew what was going to happen. She was going to fuck up what she had with Stiles.
“I’m not judging you,” he said as he put his hands up. “What exactly do you mean when you say everything?” Everything covered a lot. He could answer her if he knew exactly what she was trying to get out of him. If it was about her dad, she should have just said that, but she was still being a bit weird about that. Not that he blamed her. The guy was gone for a long time and now here he was. They all had a reason to feel the way that they felt when it came to Gideon.
*** She came to nod her head lightly at Peter. “You’re right. I shouldn’t overthink.” She said out loud as a way to remind herself not to screw things up. When Peter asked about everything she shrugged her shoulders. “About my dad being here, about me and Stiles.” She replied as she glanced at him once more.
“Derek’s been keeping to himself and I have no one else to turn too. And well… You’re still family so I’m hoping you’ll be here for me when I need you.” She replied as she came to shift her eyes away from Peter for the moment. “Do you think dad is going to re-build the Hale pack?”
*** “Overthinking always causes more problems.” Would Cora listen to his advice, he didn’t know, but she could do what she wanted with what he had told her so far. “It’s weird having your father here. It’s almost like seeing a ghost. As for you and Stiles, I have nothing to say. You like, no, love him. You can’t help who you fall for.”
Peter knew Derek was hiding out and ignoring him, but he figured that was just because Derek wasn’t Peter’s biggest fan. He had no idea that Derek was keeping his distance from Cora as well. “It’s Derek, he’ll get over his broody party for one at some point. I’m here now, aren’t I?” He really did wish his last few remaining family members would see him more than just monster. Yes, he has done things that he probably shouldn’t have, but that didn’t mean he wouldn’t be there for Cora and even Derek if they needed him. “I don’t know. It wasn’t brought up. I guess we’ll just have to wait and see what he gets up to.”
*** She came to nod her head lightly. “Thanks, Peter.. For listening.” She replied with a slight shrug as she came to her feet with that pillow in hand. “I’m going to get some rest. Maybe… We can do something later this week?” She said as she came to start walking towards that extra room.
“Goodnight, Uncle Peter.” Is all she said with a slight smirk as she came to walk into the extra room to start getting ready for bed.
