"I'm sure there are some you would find myself not very agreeable. But I also have a strong sense of necessity verses propriety. Those that wanted to use muggle machines for the fun of it, well..." She took a sip of her tea, her eyebrows raised as if to say they both knew what they thought of those people. "But when it's using it for our benefit or luxury...well, I suppose there will always be reasons we would need to use them. Such as this internet." She waved her hand as she set her teacup down, still not sure what this muggle technology was about or its potential. It was a form of entertainment for her in a world where many things were strange and new. As much as she disliked having to cater to the whims of muggle use, she found she didn't have much choice here. At least it was easy enough for her to justify it in her head.
But it was a comment she kept to herself as Arcturus' next comment made her realize he was still at an age where he wanted to please his elders, having and sharing the same beliefs that she was sure his parents (or at least his father) and ingrained in him. She remembered that...wanting to please them, make them proud. She could only imagine that Arcturus' felt the same if not more as the song of a pureblood family. She had only brought disappointment as the last hope for a Black heir, yet she had been their best daughter by far. Bellatrix held the right beliefs, but was a bit improper for a traditional pureblood woman.
"When your father comes, I will be happy to lend my voice to the reasoning behind this whole mess. He is sure to understand Arcturus, I am sure of it." Truly, she had no idea if he would or not. If Arcturus was any example of the strict upbringing of muggle items, she could only imagine his father was at least ten times against them as his son. Still, she did not have the heart to tell Arcturus that she had very little hope that his father would arrive, but she didn't dare be the one to break his heart or start an argument over it.
"Or I can show you how to do the enchantments," she said with a smile. "It could be our first lesson together."
