Narcissa smiled, nodding her head at his explanation. "I understand," she said. "I hope you realize that Cousin Cassiopeia and myself just want to make sure you are comfortable. This transition has been difficult for all of us and it seems only fitting that family stays together." Having spoken of the arrangement before, Narcissa didn't want to push it anymore...at the moment. She truly felt that Arcturus would be more comfortable in a magical home, but she imagined that the freedom of being on his own was much more tempting.
"But I will not push the subject any more," she said, a mental note on for now. "If you are truly comfortable where you are, then that's the only concern I have at the moment." She smiled at him again, understanding the muggle concerns and airs that seemed to be everywhere they turned. "I've heard Everdale is a beautiful place. I have not made the time to visit there, but perhaps you could show me around?" She had heard that was the one area in Preya that didn't rely so much on muggle technology or their crude inventions.
"For now, I hope you can feel comfortable reaching out whenever you wish to visit. I will make sure to have a special treat for you when you do, whatever you want." Was she spoiling him? Perhaps, but she didn't have anyone else she could do that for, save for Lucius. And he was a grown man! No, whether she realized it or not, she was beginning to see Arcturus, in a very strange way, as akin to the son she hoped to meet one day.
