Narcissa was pleased to hear that Arcturus had a sense of trust with her already, giving him a small smile when he spoke of family. If only she could agree with him, but she had seen how family had hurt each other and grown apart over different beliefs. Narcissa understood the importance of bloody purity and preserving it, but she also believed in standing by ones family, even if their views were opposed. She thought of Andromeda and how she wished her sister could be here with her; no parents to worry about, no family to impress or hide things from.
She mentally shook herself from her thoughts, her attention turning back to her guest as he commented on the pudding. "Yes, they make everything. I'm quite happy to have arrived with the few I have. I don't think I would have been able to survive if it had just been me!" She knew Aunt Cassi had a few as well, but Lucius seemed to be without. "If you would like, I can have them make another to bring back with you?" She already had the cake ready to go, but she would provide whatever it was he wished for.
"I would be happy to help in any way. And I'm sure Lucius would be at your disposal as well." She made a mental note to check in with Lucius about it, but she was sure her beloved would help in any way he could. "He's a brilliant wizard, I know you would be able to learn a lot from him!" She thought about the Summerby's and shook her head. "I'm afraid I'm lost on the name," she said. "But if he's in such strong standing with you, I expect I will enjoy his company as well." Another note to reach out to Mr. Summerby.
Narcissa set her tea on the table, folding her hands in her lap. "Arcturus, I wished to speak to you on something. We had discussed it before through the journals, but now that we are face to face, I wanted to bring it up again." She gave him a soft smile, not wanting to appear too much like a grown up or adult, telling him what he needed to do. "I wish to extend an invitation to live here with Lucius and I. We have plenty of room and I feel that you would be much more comfortable here. Speaking to your tutelage while we're here, it would make for easy lessons and we would be here at your disposal. Not to mention the ability for our house elves to make any sort of delicacy you could want."
It was an offer she was giving him, not a command. She hoped she had stressed she would prefer it this way, but ultimately, the decision lay with him. "If you wish some time to think on it as well, that is absolutely alright."
