Stapled to one of the arrangements was a slip of paper. "The invoice. This is your copy... and I can ring you right up."
Edwin slipped behind the counter again, and frowned at the cash register. He was shown how to work it before, but it was taking some getting used to. "Urm.. forgive me... I'm from a place where this technology hasn't even been dream about yet."
He picked up the scanning gun and held the laser over the bar code on the invoice. There was a beep, then another beep beep. "Oh bugger." He was immediately ashamed. "Forgive me for my language, Miss. It seems... that I just rang up your purchase three times."
