He felt his ears bounce with the petting on his head and he huffed a breath like he was irritated, though he wasn't. Jamie was more trying to save face. But that was enough being a dog for now; he had to be able to speak at some point. Without a word, he just casually changed back into a person who was now sitting on the floor with his shoulder against the edge of the couch - eye to eye with Clint.
"I'm sure you've got talents that I don't have," Jamie tried to be reassuring, smiling kindly, "You know, I've never seen someone react that way to a dog before. You really, really love them. You should run a rescue or something."
