Elena turned and leaned against the doorway. There was no getting inside without his invitation, so she had to wait for him to come back. Now it'd been long enough that there was going to have to be some kind of conversation. She wasn't really looking forward to it. She'd hoped to go a bit longer before he found out about her... dining habits.
Kali squirmed again. Elena bent down and let the kitten out of her arms so she could go into her home. It wasn't as if Elena couldn't catch her if she made a break for it. But it seemed like Kali was more interested in whatever smelled so amazing in the kitchen than rushing out the front door.
Elena stood up straight again, her mind finally comprehending what he'd just said. "Bear? You're serving bear??"
