The twinge of guilt, over having thought he offended her accidentally, faded away when Deucalion realized just what she truly meant. Honestly the man had simply been trying to be polite, yet it wasn't hard to see how such a beautiful young woman might be used to people making unwanted advances to her. "I see. well I suppose I could always try to stop being so English, but I'm honestly not sure how well that would work out since even after all the years stateside...some things are just ingrained."
With a chuckle he shook his head when Elena started to argue about paying for her own drink; but since she was already being generous enough to act as a guide, and also go on this little outing with him; well buying her drink just seemed fitting. When he had the hot cup of tea in hand the old wolf paused to sniff it, and much to his surprise the tea wasn't half bad. "I was expecting something worse, but they seem to know their way around a kettle here."
