"Because of the river?" Derek asked, a small smile tugging on his lips at her laugh. He supposed that was a good thing. It was nice out here, even if Derek almost wanted something more. He'd never been big on neighborhoods or cities, but there was positives to both. It was beautiful and quiet, but it was also a little lonely out in the middle of the woods. Wolves were social animals and Derek was no different no matter how much his mood made him want some alone time.
The walk was relatively easy, and Derek was fine to let the moments pass quietly. Once the were close enough, he took to stepping a little quicker so he could step up and let them in, leaving the door open for Lydia before dropping his keys off at the door and having a quick look around. "I'll get you something to put on." He nodded, turning to wander to the bedroom to grab one of his tshirts. "If you want to go ahead and shower, I can start something to eat. Just put your clothes out and I'll get them in the dryer, too."
