"Is having pancakes so bad?" He wondered, thinking about it. "Water access?" He offered, but he knew that wasn't much of an appeal anyway. The river ran through a large chunk of Everdale, and possibly through all of Preya. He hadn't really bothered to run it's length. Though, now he felt like he should. He lifted an arm a bit at the splash.
He hadn't really expected much by ways of a reply to the Stiles and Cora situation. He just knew that they had been close, and it had been a sort of afterthought. Derek knew Cora was capable of taking care of herself, even if he didn't overly like the situation she'd gotten herself in.
He'd just gotten himself to relax a little when she popped up in front of him. There wasn't really any chance to ask before she was flinging her weight at him and out of instinct he moved to catch her, one arm moving out to catch the water in case they went under. He shook out his hair again, brow furrowed slightly. "What was that?"
