Derek nodded, watching her come close and ducking himself in the water a little more to cover his mouth up to his nose. He glanced up toward the sky, at the mingling colors before lifting up a little to speak. "I think you live in the busiest part, or it seems that way from what I've seen." Derek didn't exactly travel, if he felt like roaming, it was usually to a new part of Everdale, or the outskirts of Summerbridge.
"No problem. I'm glad you're enjoying it." He might have thought at one time that she wouldn't. She always sort of seemed like she was from a different world in a sense, a far more fancy one. Yet, seeing her here, in the water, she just looked like she belonged. Maybe she always had, just never got the chance.
"If you get hungry I can fix something." He didn't have too much by ways of food, but he could fix up a meal of some kind. Even if his home was remote, it had the major conveniences. "I'll fix you breakfast, too." He smiled a little, thinking. "Are you working? Should I wake you in the morning?"
