Derek was glad roaming around in unfamiliar territory wasn't troubling her, but maybe she was just feeling that off and it didn't matter as much as the need to be away from everything. It was nice. He liked it too, and even if he'd had some fleeting thoughts, he wasn't sure anywhere else suited him just yet.
At her laugh and statement, he looked at her before giving a soft laugh, almost more air than anything. "I'm a werewolf, it happens. I think we all like it from time to time. It's actually pretty nice." He wasn't sure she would like it. They were from two very different worlds.
He motioned her a little closer to tuck between some trees, reaching for her hand again just in case she needed to be steadied. "Watch your steps. The roots are a little bad here and there's rocks." It wasn't much further before there was the sound of water and Derek stepped to take her over to a big rock where she could find easy footing before letting go again and taking a couple steps back. He knew a little too well how loud she could be.
