The night felt perfect to be in the woods. The sky was clear enough that things weren't incredibly dark, but it was well enough away from the full moon that there wasn't likely any threat from anything that might be effected by it. Derek had even taken advantage of that while waiting for Lydia. He doubted he'd get another chance to run tonight with her here, but that was fine. He didn't actually need to change, but he usually felt better afterwards.
He was getting dressed around the back of the small house when he heard her car but took his time with it. He wanted to make sure his boots were properly laced and that his belt on his jeans was done before he started around to meet her. "Sorry. I went for a run." He offered a small smile, but afterwards realized she might not see it until he was closer. He pulled on the long sleeved Henley and gave a little stretch before he made it to her.
Giving her a look over, Derek gave another small smile, just in approval of her outfit. He knew all too well about her preference for skirts and dresses, but jeans were definitely better. "Come on." He nodded to her before moving to step around her and start off to the side of the house, assuming she'd follow. "I hope this helps you."
