Considering Deucalion's age and experience - the former you couldn't tell, but the latter was something you could nearly taste on the air between them - Kitty was a little surprised and strangely triumphant that she was able to tell him something that he didn't previously know. "One hundred percent serious," she reassured him, meeting his eyes. "Vampires. They sleep during the day, can't go out in the sunlight, drink human blood to sustain themselves, and generally have some powers that they learn over time. If you ever meet one, don't look them directly in the eyes - they can compel you, make you do their bidding. It's one of their strongest abilities."
Kitty picked up another wing and began to eat it as he replied to her brief monologue about her life thus far, and gave him a faint smile of thanks. "I think anyone would, really. Coming here, it's almost like having some kind of anonymity again, which is...strange. I mean, I haven't gotten used to people recognizing me, or anything, but it's weird to go from one extreme back to the other." She shrugged again, finishing the wing off fairly quickly and letting the bones fall to the plate before she looked back to Deucalion again.
"It's nice to have someone to be able to tell all this to."
