"You were born a wolf?" She sat forward with interest, a sharp glint in her eyes that showed her peaked curiosity. While she had a way of talking herself in and out of things, she also never passed up an opportunity to ask questions she, at least, felt were pertinent, no matter what situation she was in. Honestly that was probably why she'd been nearly killed on more than one occasion, but at the moment she felt safe. Public place, smells settling in her nose, and she'd seen three exits from the courtyard not counting the restaurant itself, which kept Wolf at ease. "I didn't know that was possible. I thought you could only be bitten. When did you start changing? Were you raised by wolves or humans?"
She cut herself off as he started to go a little into his background, paying close attention. If he was sixty years old, she was definitely going to be asking him very soon if he'd met any celebrities, but for now she'd focus on the story he was telling her. As he finished, the server returned with Kitty's beer, and she flashed a smile, then picked up the glass and took a sip, not wanting to get too fuzzy-headed during this conversation.
When he asked about her, Kitty shook her head. "Born and raised in Denver, Colorado," she told him. "Even went to college there. After...I had to leave, I kind of road-tripped for a couple months, broadcasting my show every week from a different studio affiliate, and then went to Washington D.C. when I received a summons to appear before a Congressional hearing on the existence of werewolves." One shoulder lifted and fell in a nonchalant shrug, even though that was what had helped with her own celebrity status. "That was about six weeks ago."
