Deucalion was something of a master strategist, or at least he had been before coming here. Still some old habits, like wearing the shades, just were hard to shake and so the wolf had already formed a list of various items he could potentinally order. Of course it was all hinging on the menu selection itself, yet after catching a glimpse at what was available he managed to know pretty much exactly what he'd request. The appetizers though hadn't been initially planned; if anything it was a direct response to Kitty requesting that her own meal be delayed. That and the couple sitting four tables away were sampling the stuffed mushrooms and even from where they sat Deucalion found the smell to be delicious. With a rumbling chuckle his soft smile grew, and after a single shake of his head the Alpha spoke up again. "Oh this is my treat, after all you've done me the courtesy of agreeing to share a meal and conversation."
There was no hesitation when her question reached his ears, only a little shrug of his massive shoulders. "Originally I was from Northumberland, England, and I was the first born wolf to a pack alpha. I remained there for...oh my, I believe it was sixteen years, but it's been quite a long while so forgive me if the exact time is off. After living in England I decided to come State side; wishing to see who the packs lived in America. Spent time among a few until I became an Alpha to a pack and was with them for thirty years until...well until things took a dark turn."
With the softest of sighs his gaze shifted from her and came to rest on the kitten on his shoulder. It took a few seconds to gently pry it's claws from his sweater, but a moment later the old Alpha softly cradled the kitten in the palm of his left hand; brushing the fur along it's back with his fingers. "What of you though, my dear? Where did you hail from originally?"
