Deucalion tended to stand out in a crowd no matter where he went; sometimes because he used the guise of being blind once more (with the shades and cane too) since he valued the advantage that came with being under estimated. Other times he stood out in the manner in which he carried himself; all that power and the decades of being an Alpha (to wolves and other Alphas alike) caused the old wolf to unconsciously convey an aura of authority. Of course days like this one, being forced to wear a slightly tighter form fitting sweater since his kitten had mauled his other one just a few hours ago...well the Alpha found himself standing out thanks to the sheer physical state of his body.
Sixty years old he was still quite fit, muscles straining the fabric of his sweater a little. In truth he worked out mostly as a way to pass the time, yet after years of honing his craft in combat...and being a literal powerhouse when it came to apex predators, the man just exuded strength. Oh he tried to hide it most of the time, seeking to keep others thinking Deucalion was smaller or more frail with the aid of a heavier coat. But honestly the tropical setting just was not optimal for such bulk garments.
In that moment though the wolf really wasn't making any effort to appear one way or another. The war with the hunters felt like a million miles away just then, and the Alpha really was trying to return to a far more peaceful way of life. The sweater he wore was simply chosen because it was comfy, as were the slacks too. Well comfy, and kitten approved. Status, ploys, tactics...none of it really mattered any more and Deucalion was far more focused on teasing his furry feline friend, then on anything else.
When Kitty arrived his sunglass covered gaze was already turning in her direction, having caught her scent before she ever came into view. Just the way she ducked her head a tad, and averted her gaze warranted the softest of chuckles, and with a little wave he greeted her at last. Between her smiling warming, and the woman's words regarding his kitten, a real smile all his own started spreading across the wolf's mouth too. "Greetings. It is a genuine pleasure to meet you face to face. I hope you don't mind that I invited a third to our lunch, but this adorable ball of fur is Kali. I just adopted her yesterday and couldn't bring myself to leave her alone at the cabin."
