"Oh good!" She breathed out a puff in relief. That was about as bad as it got, but she tried to regain her composure quickly enough. Her brow furrowed slightly, and when he mentioned his dad, Jessica had to frown. Was that why he was here? His dad? The second part hit her a second or so later and she watched him, as if waiting for some kind of clarification, but when he didn't offer more she pressed her lips together, thinking. "Like...ghost chasers?"
"Is it? Me, too." She couldn't help but smile a little bit and nod. "I keep pumpkin spice creamer in my freezer year round, gingerbread, too." She hummed. "I make really nice gingerbread...in a loaf."
She nodded, scooting the little box to him to pick something out for a snack, leaning back in her seat and bringing a leg over the other as she got comfortable. "She likes you." Jessica nodded, watching the cat stretch and lay up toward Sam's shoulder. "She likes mostly everyone, though. If she didn't need to socialize and play more, I'd probably keep her. I think being around people and other cats is good for her. She can't really tuck herself away and be alone here."
