Jamie was more than happy to take a moment to show off, even if by doing so he would be helping people at the same time. It was a failing of his, presumably from a mix of his father and his two namesakes. McGonagall had always just shook her head whenever he'd gotten in trouble, meting out the punishment as needed. And then he'd grown up - mostly. He swore to himself that he would get over all those past failings but it was difficult. And now here, without his father's name looming over him, maybe he could make something out of just himself.
He had been splinting a young patient's arm when he'd gotten an alert on this phone thing they'd given him. Ah! Bruce was in reception. Excellent. He finished up with his patient but didn't hurry. There was no sense in a sloppy job, after all. And unfortunately, he didn't have any Skele-grow on hand so it would have to mend the old-fashioned way until he figured out how to brew it himself. But afterward, he waved goodbye and went to the reception desk.
It took Jamie a moment to spot him but when he did, he approached Bruce with a broad smile and extended a hand when he got near, "Hey there, welcome. Let's get you a little professional visitor badge here and we can start with the questions and such."
