"I guess we should be thankful for that, although I wonder if you might be a bit bored at the moment?" Roxy didn't want to make Liv feel bad, as that was her job they were talking about. But not having a busy morgue meant that things were peaceful enough for the moment. The bombing had been such a scare earlier that she was worried the peace of Preya would be broken from the inside first.
"I don't know," she said, returning the frown her friend had given her. She hadn't thought about it really...but it seemed to make sense that her visits to the morgue would be less and less. "I'm sure I'll still be able to stop in now and then. Even if it isn't on business." She grinned, wanting to reassure her friend. Work had always been the most important to Roxy but recently, she was beginning to see that a good relationship could come in a close second.
"The weather has been so nice, I highly recommend the beach." Roxy had been grateful to Quentin for recommending it. She had definitely found her new morning run location; the sand helped create a bit of resistance that she enjoyed for her work out. "Spa days are always nice when you can," she said. "I could definitely go for a massage!"
The waitress came back with their drinks and Roxy held her glass up for a cheers. "To friends, promotions, and pampering." She clinked her glass with Liv before taking a drink. Brilliant.
"I was. Thought it'd be a nice way to start the weekend, especially before the rally. It was fairly big wasn't it? I didn't stay around for too long. What did you do while you were there?"
