Roxy waved her comment away and grinned. "It wasn't a problem and really, I've only been here for maybe...five minutes?" She shrugged. "I didn't mind at all. That way we could enjoy our drinks together." She smiled and ordered a whiskey neat before turning her attention back to her friend.
"Nothing too crazy coming in? I don't think I've been by in awhile. Things have been quiet." She couldn't say if that was a good or bad thing; good for the sake of the community and bad for her own boredom at work. She immediately regretted saying that, thinking that someone's death could be bartered between boredom and excitement.
"I've been doing well, thanks. Looking to actually move to the night patrol. Selene approached me and I put in the paperwork yesterday. Just waiting to hear back and hope everything goes smoothly for the transfer." She held up her hand, her fingers crossed. "But other than that, the same old thing for me as well." That was the only problem with Preya; you feel into the same routine and it was hard to fall out of.
"I've been trying to think of things to do on my days off so I'm not just sitting at home, but the motivation is a bit difficult. I've heard the beach has been nice these past couple of days though." Roxy was terrible at doing anything outside of work or her daily routine.
