Major promised beer and he remained true to his word. It was the first thing he thought of when coming to this tea party, which sort of stripped away the entire idea of it being a tea party. Still, he bought his favorite six pack of brew and made his way to the address that was given to him. This was his first real attempt to socialize outside of his circle since arriving, and he hoped this would make a good impression. It was better than bringing potpourri or some other crap.
He hadn't bought a car yet since his arrival, so he took the light rail. So it was a little walk from the stop to the motel, but he certainly didn't mind. He waited patiently after knocking, rocking back on his heels. When he saw the light of the room creep through as the door opened, he welcomed Leon with a giant grin. "Do you know what it's like to ride a light rail with a six pack?" he said with a laugh, holding up the drinks. "I swear people think I'm going to some frat party."
