Tyler wasn't drunk, though that wasn't for lack of trying. Alcohol helped with his cravings for blood, and even helped keep his emotions in check, but drinking to get drunk was apparently a thing if the past. Besides, who didn’t like to drink a lot and go dancing.
He turned when he heard the loathsome voice speak, and his face immediately settled into a scowl. Caroline had told him that Klaus was different from how he remembered, but he found that hard to believe. Klaus had spent a thousand years being one of the most evil vampires around, and Tyler couldn't see that changing on a whim. If he’d seen Klaus helping people get a safe ride home, it’s entirely possible he may have dropped dead from shock.
But if Caroline asked him to play nice, well, he could give it a shot. Especially because there was a very good chance that if he didn’t, Klaus would make him do something like nearly kill his girlfriend.
“Wish I could say the same,” Tyler grumbled. "Can't say I expected to see you here. Do you come here often?" Tyler would have to make a point to not come here again if that was the case.
