"How do you suppose I do that?" Aqueous looked more inline with where John's voice had come from. His face was sassy, but his eyes were cloudy with eye damage. "Not like they do me any good." His voice was sarcastic as well. His breath curled in the air like it was a cold winter's day, but it had been a sunny spring afternoon
Aqueous's tail slid along the ground when John lit his cigarette. He smell the smoke already. "Well that's an invasive question. What are you?" Aqueous fired back. He started to use his abilities, hoping to get a vague outline of who he was dealing with. The temperature around them dropped several degrees enough that John could almost see his breath, but Aqueous's vanished. Aqueous read the chilling water vapor as the air got colder. He saw a very vague outline which was quickly ripped to shreds by a passing car as the air got violently thrown around. Aqueous jerked his head away from John sharply. Whenever the air moved like that it felt like someone was shoving cotton into all his senses.
"Whatever. Why does it matter you anyway?" Aqueous defended himself harshly. He was definitely not on the upper hand here, for fucks sake he couldn't even see the guy, and saying he was a demon could potentially scare the guy or start a fight. Aqueous didn't want the latter.
