There was a flurry of fluttering in her chest as Percy leaned down, even if it was a peck. It was almost always like that when Percy was close. Not for the first time, it took a moment for Ruby to physically recover from the very small, but adorable gesture.

When it came to history, American Independence and the Civil War were pretty much her two most confident subjects because of her mother. Otherwise she was still learning.
