Percy had been ready for the shoulder check and didn't budge very far when it happened. He stared at the guy, wondering if he was just a lonely bully or if he had a posse with him. Usually bullies ran in groups, but this guy seemed to be alone. He had probably been put up to this by some of his idiot friends.
Once the guy was gone, there were still a lot of stares. Stares that Percy knew would make Ruby feel super uncomfortable. "Anything I can help you with," he asked with a bit more annoyance in his voice than he had meant to. The effect couldn't be argued with though, anyone still looking turned and went on their way, and Percy put his arm around Ruby's shoulder. "You okay? You want me to drown him?"
He smirked at his joke, knowing he wouldn't actually do it. Or that Ruby would agree to it, but the offer was still there if she decided that guy needed to sleep with the fishes.
