The gates of Rosewood Park were decorated in autumn colors for the festival that morning. The crowds were invited in at precisely ten o' clock but, before they entered through the gates, Summerbridge Council Member Veronica Mars warmly welcomed them with kind words. Then guests were invited to explore the entire park, since there was plenty of excitement waiting for them. Vendors: There were nearly two hundred vendors scattered throughout the park. While the majority of them derived from Summerbridge, vendors from all over the land of Preya were able to sell their goods. There were various crafts on display, such as handmade wreathes of warm colors as well as scenic artwork of lands covered in foliage. Experts in the kitchen sold baked goods like apple pies and pumpkin tarts. Also, for those wishing to warm up during the cooler season of fall, many handy with needle and thread sold blankets, sweaters, and various styles of clothing. Fun Events: Hayrides took guests around the entire park, where they could look at everything going on at the festival. Pumpkins of all sizes were arranged in a patch, affordable but varying in price and according to size. There was even a small but fun corn maze located on the property, which also advertised haunted hayrides as October rolled in. Guests: Common Grounds gave numerous cooking demonstrations on a small stage in the park, Chefs taught audiences how to make the perfect slice of pumpkin pie, a sweet cider float, or their famous apple brittle. Purrfect Cup brought along a few of their adoptable felines for a meet & greet and a free cup of festive tea. Drama students from the Abacus Institute put on a show at several time slots, where they acted out classic spooky stories and fall favorites. Raffles: With many businesses on board, there were many lovely prizes on display for a special festival raffle. Tickets were sold at a low price, guests able to buy as many as a dozen, and all proceeds went towards local charities. GRAND PRIZE: All expense paid trip to Cedar Springs, a fancy resort located in Brightford. Four days, three nights. Guests treated to luxury and relaxation! |
