Their excitement about this place was very different. Ruby's had been because she thought it was cool, Percy's had been because all of a sudden, all of his senses were on alert. This place gave off the impression that it should be crawling with monsters and terrible things. The only thing as that everything was silent. Looking around the abandoned grounds, Percy had to admit that things here looked very beautiful in a very creepy kind of way. He scanned the perimeter, listening intently for the sound of anything moving at all, and ready to strike in a second's notice if it did. There was nothing, though.
"Wow, how many times have you been here before," he asked, searching around again for any indication of a switch or control panel for the rides. "Wonder if anything will even work because of the plant growth."
