It only took Selene a minute to close out her briefing notes on her computer, email them to the uniform Sargent who would stand in for her and give the evening briefing, and head for the front desk. When she got there, she had to resist the strong urge to eyeroll and sigh at what the young woman was wearing, especially when she contrasted it with her own black uniform, heavy boots, armored corset, and the long blue coat she wore overall for an extra layer of protection.
"Momo? I'm Selene." She held out her hand for a quick, business-like handshake. While her body temperature, her overall metabolism, was lower than human, her skin did not have the cold lifelessness of the undead. "Usual releases to sign, and then I thought to skip briefing and go right out onto the street. Tonight will probably be fairly quiet, but if something does come up, a few required points. You are welcome to participate in routine public contacts. But if there is any sort of confrontation, stay behind me, especially if weapons are involved. It would not hurt my feelings if you simply run, and call 911 when you are at a safe distance. I am more or less bullet proof." She waved one hand implying her uniform, but in truth even being shot in the head was no more than a slight annoyance for her. "You are... a bit underdressed for rough and tumble on pavement." She flipped one side of her hair back to show the radio earpiece she wore. "I am also in continuous contact with Dispatch, although I usually don't call attention to that. Questions?"
