It wasn't easy maintaining this resolve. As Noctis finally appeared, Luna's last memories before finding herself here came washing over her in a storm. Her hand moved over to her side again, to the wound that was healing.
It wasn't much pain in comparison.
She gave Noctis a grateful nod. "Perhaps we'll sit? After the journey here, I think I would like that."
The words came out seemingly on their own. Luna moved over toward the chairs hesitantly, as if restraining the effort to do the opposite. He was close enough now, she was aware, to simply reach out for.
She sat instead, reluctantly pushing those urges aside.
"I do believe I share your sentiment," she said with care. Luna watched him but couldn't fully meet his gaze. "Wherever we've found ourselves, I am...relieved to see you well." There was a prolonged pause. "Would you care to tell me about your time here?"
With effort, Luna raised her eyes to look at him. There was hope in them, which was easy to tell, as well a myriad of other, less easily-defined feelings.
