A few months ago, Todoroki might have glared over that lecture tone that Iida immediately took on. They were friends, or, well, Todoroki assumed so. Iida had been one of his first friends, actually. Still, the strange familiarity that it sparked made his lips curl, just slightly. It reminded him of summer training camps and watching him learn how to peel a potato, back home where things weren't nearly as confusing as they were here, even if more dangerous. They would have never been able to train in the woods alone back home without an underlying fear of being targeted.
The praise wasn't entirely new, Todoroki did know he was far from being out of shape, but when someone who could likely run faster than a car offered it, you'd be a fool not to feel effected. He nodded, smiling a bit more easily. "Thanks. I don't think anyone could keep up with you fully, though." Just like Iida couldn't walk into a burning building, Todoroki wouldn't stand a chance at saving someone from a car wreck.
"Come on." He offered, once it felt like his muscles were hurting a bit less, and if that was thanks to him using his quirk to cool and warm himself a bit, well, it was just a perk of being him. "Let's head to the station." He nodded, thinking some as he checked his pockets one last time to make sure he wasn't leaving anything behind. "Is there anything you're in the mood for?"
