Krissy had one more stop to go to. She was getting frustrated because it was starting to feel like she wouldn't actually be able to find out who took the photos tonight despite all the leads because good ones. She did manage to have someone arrested tonight - while the guy might not have been photographing Merry specifically, he had been taking a lot of pictures up skirts. If this last place turned up empty, at least there was one less creep walking around.
She strolled up to the guy who was sweeping up trash by a bench. Her eyes scanned over the man who looked like he was in his fifties. He looked harmless enough. Her demeanor suddenly changed and she looked much more like a wisp of a girl than she actually was.
"Um... excuse me?"
~*~
The man turned at the voice and recognized Krissy immediately. She was playing a game and he could play it too. He smiled.
"Yes?" He asked, innocently.
~*~
"I was looking for my boyfriend? He's this tall, brown hair, kind of dorky looking. We got into a fight and he stormed off and I feel really guilty so I'm trying to find him to apologize." She looked earnest in her delivery as she sized the man up.
~*~
"Oh dear," He replied. "That doesn't sound like fun at all. Let me think."
He put a hand to his chin and thought. He looked around the park as if to help him remember. Then he snapped his fingers.
"Yes, I think I do remember Merry coming through here," He said. "I don't know how long ago, though."
~*~
Her eyes narrowed just a little and she felt her body tense. She had no idea where Violet was, except that she knew Violet was watching and would help if things went south. She definitely had not mentioned Merry's name. This meant that either the guy in front of him knew Merry in some weird coincidence, or he was the one who took the photos. She had two options - keep pretending or call him out. Krissy was already annoyed Merry was being brought into a fight she had somehow started that the second option won out easily.
"How about instead you tell me how the hell you know who he is and why the hell you were taking photos of him like a creep?" Her expression had hardened and she crossed her arms, though she was ready to use her gun if needed - Selene had given her a pretty good advantage if this guy was a vampire.
~*~
He initially looked shocked.
"What? I don't know what you're talking about..." He said slowly. No sense in keeping up the ruse, I suppose.
A sneer appeared on his cocky face.
"Maybe you should look at yourself for that question," He said with vile in his words. "You stop sticking your nose where it doesn't belong and maybe the people in your life won't get hurt."
~*~
She wanted to punch him so badly right now, but she restrained herself. "Except you're not going for people like Sam and Dean. You're scared of them. Whoever you're working for would rather pick on the weak."
~*~
He laughed cruelly.
"The Winchesters are powerful, but that's not why." He replied to her. "My boss just knows where your the most vulnerable. We kill that idiot kid and you'd unravel, wouldn't you? Just like when your dad died."
~*~
She punched him so quickly she wasn't even really aware she was doing it until her fist made contact with his face. "Shut the hell up!"
~*~
The punch stung and made his face turn away. When he looked back at her, there were fangs. The boss would be happy if I could take her out. She's just a girl. Easy dinner. The vampire lunged at Krissy.
~*~
The adrenaline and her anger were so high that she expected him to attack. The vampire didn't even get to lung very far before she shot one of Selene's special bullets at him.
~*~
Being shot normally felt like a pinch, but this one hurt. He looked surprised and his eyes looked up at his forehead where the shot hit. Then they rolled up into his head and he fell to the ground. He didn't turn into dust suddenly. His skin sunk in first, then slowly evaporated to leave bones. Then the bones fell to dust too. What was left of the vampire was his clothes and a pile of dust.
~*~
That was new for Krissy - Preya had so many different sort of vampires it was weird. She looked around, but of course wouldn't be able to see Violet. "Gonna have to call this in. Probably want to leave before other people show up." She hoped Violet would hear her as she reached for her phone. At least now she had another lead.
