Who: Arthur and Merlin What: Quality time in Camelot When: Saturday morning Where: Camelot (Everdale) Warnings: TBD Status: On-going
Sir Percival was gone when Arthur awoke that morning. Camelot was quiet and his search for his friend ended with an empty-handed councilman without answers for the public. Why had there been a rush of new arrivals, and why did they leave only weeks later? Why did others grow older with new memories while others were left in their former state? Arthur did his best to remain loyal to the Ruler of Preya, but answering the questions of his people made it difficult, namely because he inquired much of the same.
Having his friend vanish initiated a grieving process that left Arthur silent that day. He said not a word during breakfast and only spoke when he was addressed. Questions and statements were left with short responses, barely accumulating more than one or two words. When the meal was through, he dismissed himself from the table and went to busy himself with work. There was a meeting at Centurion Square and it required a long ride on the light rail. Such a journey required an assistant, and there was only one person who would be suitable to accompany in Arthur when he was in such a state.
Walking up to Merlin's door, he knocked twice and waited for a few moments, wondering if he had the strength to say much of anything. "Merlin, we're going to be late," he finally said, with that being the longest string of words he had said all morning.
