Giving a bit of a thoughtful frown, he took a moment to look around again. That made sense, about the furnishings, but still, compared to his bare essentials he'd had before, it seemed like a lot. It was the little things that caught his attention, the sort of things his mother would have done, or Laura.
He nodded, he could remember her screams. He tried to mimic a small smile but it didn't quite get there. It wasn't something worth smiling over, at all. Then again, making light of things wasn't his specialty.
"I couldn't sleep well before." He shifted a bit to take his cup, just so he could sip at it, or breath it in. His mother liked tea, she had it with 'friends' often. He could remember that much. "It passed for me. It might for you." He wasn't sure he'd expected her to be so open about not sleeping, but that was probably a good thing. After Paige he'd all but shut himself off to everyone, and if he'd been willing to talk, even a little, it likely would've done a lot for him in the long run.
He took a small drink before leaning back to hold the cup in his hands, letting his palms warm. "Where are you thinking of going?"
