The way her had gripped his sealed the deal. When you were in the game for any certain of time. Seen violence, there were signs. The signs shifted in certain degrees, but they were there. Now this woman though. Vanguard smiled at this. They knew nothing of each other, and it was an interesting game of cat and mouse you could say. Testing waters, deciding if the other could be trusted or if their a hindrance.
Aaron had no clue when, if, or if she had been waiting in secret or not. He sort of assumed as such, since that's what he would normally do. Shifting uncomfortably in his seat, he let ISAC do it's thing and ping important aspects on his HUD.
"I did not. Fortunately, I was shown this place not long ago by an all might being that can make little creamer cups float." Aaron shrugged. "It made for a jarring and first day to this place to say the least." Aaron let his eyes dance across her features and how she was dressed. Not in the way a man would pick apart a woman, to determine if he wanted to bed her, but to examine threat levels. She was absolutely dressed for business, real business, but kept her raw power hidden in that just-this-side-of-professional attire. Which he would also admit, worked great for. Different circumstances, he'd of approached her for completely other reasons.
Drinking the dark black coffee some he glanced towards the barista. "So." Aaron stated coolly. "We're going to get this out of the way very quickly, because I have a feeling you're also one to not want your time wasted." A low smile and a raise of an eyebrow. "Where I am from, as I partially explained, I'm an agent that is activated in time of need. I was. It was for an epidemic called "Dollar Flu" or "Green Poison" as it's official name. It was a pathogen that comprised six different strains of a virus: Dengue, Ebola, H1N1, Hantavirus, Marburg and Swineflu. It was almost impossible to fight." Taking another drink of his coffee, he let that sink in a minute before continuing. "The US and most of the world was in shambles. A doctor created this virus to use as a form of population control. It worked incredibly well."
Taking a deep breath, Aaron continued to explain the situation, with the Dark Zone, the top brass pulling out, and people needlessly dying. He left out the part where he just stopped caring after awhile. "That being said, I opted my government was no longer the government for the people but the government for the government. I removed myself." And blew up many more Division Agents with a surface to air missile. "Going rogue was not necassarily my wises decision, considering I was man alone fight my old organization and four new factions." Tapping the top of the mug, he thought for a moment, as if choosing his next words. "I am not a good man." Aaron said. He use to be, but that was not the case. He even felt a pang of regret in his chest, but swallowed it. "So I did what I thought was needed."
Aaron looked to Natasha. "If I was going to be the number one wanted criminal and domestic terrorist, I was going all the way. I fought all the odds, and synthesized my own virus, using the tech from the good doctor." He let that sink in. "Then came here. This government has that same virus, I assume because I don't any longer."
Vanguard drank more of his coffee, as if he didn't just drop that news.
