Her smile only grew at his reassurance, happiness swelling inside her. You knew you were meeting the right kind of people when they didn't try and stop you from being yourself. Plus, he was a pretty cool guy...demon. Demon guy? He seemed to have a good sense of humor and she laughed right along with him, shaking her head. "Maybe not add more water, but design something to help the currents show you where to go in your home; around obstacles and furniture!" It was still a developing plan in her mind, but she was certain she could put something together for him.
The smile never left her face, especially when he commented on her charity. "I do," she said, glancing down at the ground, then back up at him. "I'm a superhero back home! You know, saved the world, special powers, that kinda thing!" She winked before realizing he wouldn't be able to see it.
Jan thought about Evaan and what a cool idea that could be! An art exhibit where you were encouraged to feel the art! "That's a great idea actually," she said, looking at him. "Wait, lemme shoot off a text real quick." She had her phone out and was typing a quick message to Evaan on it before the phone was slid back into her pocket. "My friend is in charge of an art gallery," she explained, taking his arm and steering him around a crack in the sidewalk that had caused the pavement to shift upwards. "I think having a hands on art exhibit would be really cool! So I sent her something to see what she thought."
She could see the light rail station up ahead, just another block away. "I live in Ravenmoore and I opened a shoppe last October! It's called Van Dyne's and it's a fashion store!" She grinned, clearly proud of her work. "When I'm not working on a new clothes design, then I'm usually working on some kind of invention that I'm testing out. Like a water vapor path." That had a nice ring to it. "Science, fashion, food...the trifecta!" She made a small triangle with her fingers, her index fingers touching at top while her thumbs touched on the bottom. "Oh, and social media." The hand flipped so each thumb was touching the tip of each index. "The rectangle!" she corrected.
"I didn't know demons went to school!" she joked, moving him out of the way as two teens burst past them. "Rude!" she yelled after them, unsure if she was helping Aqueous too much. "What are you learning about?"
