The topic was changed, and Aaron didn't chase it. There are plenty of things he often likes just leaving buried and not discussed. So moving on he let it go to the free will talk fully. "Walking paradox is a very weird concept to me. Most paradox things. Multi worlds... this is all very new." Aaron shook his head. He was taking it all very well, but internally, it was difficult. The world he knew, and knew so well had been ripped to pieces and thrown up like fucking confetti.
"Very much. Born in New Jersey, spent a lot of time in New York, and then military time... then back to New York. Then shit hit the fan. So yeah, one could say I am as city slicker as you can get." Then the question about future trading. That... was a complicated question. "To lay it simply, I was the broker between deals that were to happen in the future. The deal would be made in advance, and then on the give date in time, it would happen." Aaron looked up in thought. "Example, you are an oil tycoon, and that barista is an oil refinement company. I would broker the deal, you'd sell so many barrels of oil at a given price, at a certain date. The deal would be locked in, and you would sell at that price. If the price per barrel would go up, you would still be stuck at that price and take a loss, if the barrel cost went down, you'd still sell at the agreed price and make a better profit."
Aaron shrugged. "Simplest of terms. It gets even more complicated than that sometimes, but I'm not in that game any longer."
