Introducing Rocket to the rebellion was something Groot would do much later, once he had a while to settle in. Until then, he'd play off the fact that he was happy to have everyone in Preya. It was a lot easier to enjoy this place with the entire crew here. He was overjoyed, really, and that was an emotion he hadn't felt for quite some time. Or to this extent anyway. Everything felt right again. The fact he aligned with the rebellion could wait, as could the honest answer of if Preya was treating him well. The truth wasn't meant for a happy reunion... especially when there was a cup of hot chocolate to be had later.
He took a few steps back to really look over Rocket, grinning more as he took in the sight. "It's hard to really see you like this, I hope I don't lose my appetite," he teased, making his way back over to the booth. "C'mon, I want to get something to eat." Really, he just wanted everyone to go back to their business and give them time on their own. Once he was at their table, he slid into his original seat and slid a menu across the table.
"Quill's workin', he's here though. I just moved in with him actually," Groot explained, flipping through his own menu. "We've been taking care of each other. Drax and Gamora just got here not long ago either, so we're all here."
He looked over the menu to Rocket. "I eat all the time, I promise. I'm always hungry. That hasn't settled down since I got here, anyway."
