Anything could happen in this place, and the fact that someone burst through the doors and cackling like a mad man? Totally normal for Groot, but the tears forming in the man's eyes made things on something outside of normal. That was not your usual day in Preya, the threat of tears from a grown man. Nor was it normal for Groot to find himself getting worked up, but he had a feeling he knew whose tears those were. And then he heard that nickname.
Twig.
His lower lip trembled as soon as it was spoken, and he knew for sure then that the man standing in the cafe was Rocket. "Dad?" He was barely able to speak, emotions tearing himself into every direction, but he had no trouble darting across the cafe. Tears blurring his vision, he stumbled into a few chairs along the way, but finally managed to make his way to the other side of the room. He latched onto Rocket as tight as he could, buried his face in his shoulder, and broke down into sobs.
