That was the thing about classic diners. They hadn't changed much in the last hundred years. So Peter assumed, anyway. This should make Steve feel at home. Peter didn't know about the months leading up to his own death, but he knew that the last couple of years had been hard for Steve back in their world. He wanted to give the older (much, much older) man as much comfort as he could.
"Well, that changes my mind. Grilled cheese and curly fries." Even though the tater tots were delicious, they couldn't compete with curly fries. "They don't have them for breakfast."
Peter closed his menu and turned his attention to Captain America across the table from him. He nodded. "It's kinda a party here, isn't it? Less bad guys around, lots of friends nearby."
