Peter saw Steve turn to the cameras and wondered what the salute and puppy eyes was for. Was there something else going on here? Why wasn't Steve... y'know... inside the tower? He knew that Tony and Steve weren't on the best terms... (because, like, Berlin? And all that?) but he'd assumed that they were on better terms now they were in Preya. Thanos killing half the population of the universe really put things in perspective, didn't it?
"No, I didn't enlist. I'm not even... does Preya have a military?" Peter asked. He wasn't sure either way--he'd never heard. There hadn't been any wars that Peter knew of, then again he wasn't up on Preyan history. Maybe he'd take it in college, but he wasn't sure.
Peter reached forward to shake the older man's hand. He didn't have a super strong handshake, but it was far from weak. It meant a lot to him that Steve was treating him with such respect. "It's good to see you, too, C--Steve." He went a little pink, grinning almost sheepishly. "Whatever you wanna call me is fine. You uh... you okay? Why are you hanging around out here?"
