Peter had an internship at Stark Tower. He'd put together a resume and everything, gone in a suit to interview with Mr. Stark. And, of course, Tony threw the resume over his shoulder and embraced Peter as a friend. Or, mentee. Or, surrogate son figure. Peter loved Tony. He was so thankful that this Tony seemed to care for him, too--just as the Tony from his world and the one he'd met here in Preya before had. He wasn't sure what he'd do if Tony was here but wasn't talking to him, or didn't know him, or (god forbid) didn't like him.
He was headed into the building to get some work done, when he saw another familiar person nearby. A person who had also expressed concern for his, Peter's, well-being. A person that Peter respected and admired. A person Peter was thankful to have on his side. Instead of heading straight into Stark Tower's lobby, he turned and headed over to where Steve Rogers was standing.
"Hey," Peter said with curiosity in his voice. "Hello, Mr.--Uh... Captain."
