Steve chuckled, relaxing back against a sturdy shelving unit as he sipped his beer. "No danger of that here."
"Yeah. He came with Thor. They made quite a splashy entrance," Steve mused with a soft smile. Not that it had done a lot of good, in the end. Stop it, Steve. Don't be bitter. They saved a lot of Wakandan lives, until... no. It would have still been worse without them there. It would have all ended faster. Stop. Be in the present time. Eyes forward, soldier! His faltering smile returned. He took another sip.
"This is pretty good. It's been a while," he said, making conversation. He snorted out a chuckle at the feelings comment. "Oh, yeah? Pesky things, aren't they?"
He didn't quite agree with the sentiment, but he could definitely agree they had no business getting maudlin when they had beer and good company in the middle of the day. Time to look at the brighter side of things. Time to look at possibilities.
"So, about those walls. I don't know if you know, but I used to be an artist. You know, before all this. Waay before all this." His eyes lit up with excitment at the prospect of making art again. "And I'm kind of between jobs, seeing as the Avengers aren't really a thing here. How about I bring you some designs and see if you like them? I was actually trained in a studio around the time of all that vintage art you like. It doesn't get more authentic than that. Think about it."
