Who: Steve & Peter Quill What: Building a friendship (maybe getting a job?) When: 1/23/19, 2:20PM-ish Where: Guardian Records, Ravenmoore Status: Ongoing Warnings: TBD
Steve had a great morning, waking up to an extra warm Bucky-shaped blanket, exploring a little more of his new home, going to his new favorite coffee place. He'd even met and had a nice conversation with a Councilman wearing his world's Clint Barton's face. After that, he'd demolished a quick lunch on his way to the Abacus Institute, where he'd gotten some digital brochures and signed up for their email alerts so he could explore the possibilities of learning more about Preya's history and socio-political reality.
Then, as promised, he'd made his way to this Quill person's shop, because he had said he would. Steve Rogers never said things just to say them, or to be nice. If he made an offer, he would be true to his word, because that was the kind of guy he was. For instance, he would have liked to check in on the Hulk, who was having a beach day, of all things. And who was communicating! Would wonders never cease?
As it was, he was itching to get back to his boyfriend best friend, because one doesn't simply get over the fact that one saw the love of one's life fade to freaking dust right before one's eyes and then not obsess about the possibility that he might fade away the minute one takes one's eyes off of them. But they had decided to spend today apart. It had even sounded like a good idea at the time. Steve made a mental note to kick both of their asses when he got home.
No, but, really. He was doing a good thing. And he did need to get out of the house and put some damn clothes on! Aw, jeez. There he went again. Mind, meet gutter. Nope. Think of horrible things like taxes. Thanos
Ugh. Yeah, okay. That sobered him right up. Time to face the music. Pun intended. He arrived at the address Peter had forwarded him and walked inside. "Hello? Quill? Peter Quill?" he called out, taking in the layout of the shop and smiling when he actually recognized some of the names on the covers.
