"My mother is French, from wine country, my father English, so I bounced back and forth during summers. School in Scotland, then worked in Sweden for a while before I hooked up with Father's firm. After that, it was hotel rooms, board rooms, factories, and construction sites. Saw more of the different countryside's when I'd enter one of the cross-country races. Can't do much of the touristy things when you're running at speed from point A to point B. When a race was at a dedicated track, you saw the track, the pits, and maybe a concession stand. Not much of a chance to immerse in the local culture, so probably saw more of that than I ever did."
Richard smiled. "But like i mentioned, I intend to do some touring on horseback, maybe some by car, take my time to actually get to know Preya now that I'm retired here. Should be completely different than what I'm used to. Do some cooking, host the occasional gathering, enjoy life for a change."
