So much had happened in just the last couple of days that Susan had accidentally nearly forgotten about her dinner with Richard, until just a couple hours before. She then began to get ready and told Peter she had to go out, then started towards the Square, wearing a slate gray dress, brown boots, and an emerald colored jacket. . She had chosen it because it wasn't too far from her flat, and it was an easy place to meet someone she hadn't met before. As she walked, she contemplated why she had accepted his offer so readily, but not Dean's initial, and eventually she chalked it up to the fact that Richard was a fellow countryman, and thus they already had quite a bit in common.
When she reached the Square, Susan was actually running a few minutes late, and was a little embarrassed when she finally spotted a man who matched the picture and description she'd been given. As she approached him, the brunette offered a warm smile, though it was sheepish as well.
"Richard? I'm Susan. I'm so sorry I'm running late."
