Oh! A hug! And right away, too. Harry was a little tickled by that -- it was rare to meet someone who was so immediately friendly but Jan seemed to fit the bill. Not to be an awkward sort, he hugged her back because you couldn't just stand there when someone was hugging you. That wasn't a thing.
He'd have considered comparing her to a very young Molly Weasley, if she didn't just hand him a hot chocolate -- which upon first taste, clearly had ample amounts of booze in it. He lifted his eyebrows in surprise and laughed. "Pregaming?" He asked, clearly approving of the idea. If this was how they were starting out, he foresaw himself being well and truly knackered later in the evening. Brilliant.
