Part of Tony wished she was here too - but a secondary part of him was glad she wasn't. Pepper was just as deserving of a vacation from him as he was from everything. Surely, life was easier without Tony Stark dipping his finger into every pie and smearing messes around for her to be cleaning up. Pepper Potts was an upstanding woman who deserved better.
He snorted, amused. "No, I can't and won't work for someone else." It'd be a mess. And frankly, Tony was too good at what he did to ever be in the limelight. He'd have taken over any place he started at before the end of a month. "Who says I plan on doing anything?" He countered. "Not like a billionaire needs a job." He could just... tinker for a bit. No worries or deadlines beyond what he set for himself. "What about you?"
